I see clients online in California. Currently, I am not seeing clients in the office.

What is your cancellation policy?

Once you schedule your appointment, that time is reserved in my schedule for you. If you have to cancel, we require 24-hour notice. If you do not give the required notice, you will be charged the full fee for session.

How many sessions should I expect therapy to take?

There’s no definitive answer to this question. It generally takes a session or two to really dive into what’s going on in your life. For some individuals, a few sessions (5-8) are sometimes sufficient, while others find therapy something they want to continue and choose to continue long-term (20+ sessions). Couples can generally expect to do 6-10 sessions.

Often past clients decide to continue to work with me when additional issues arise in their life. There isn't a one-size-fits-all answer, but we can collaborate together to help you make the ultimate choice for yourself.

How will I know if you’re a good fit for me?

A great way to tell is to hop on a 20-minute phone consultation with me, so that we can chat about why you’re seeking therapy and what you hope to get out of therapy. Our conversation will give me an idea of whether I’m the best person to help you. If we’re not a good fit, I can often help you find a therapist who would be better suited to your issues.

To see if you’d like to work with me, schedule a free consulation call.

Good Faith Estimate Notice

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
